It’s perfect for family dinners, game days, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients
Lean Ground Beef: Opt for lean beef to reduce excess grease, but ensure it's not too lean to maintain flavor. Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a lighter version.
Onion: Adds flavor and texture. Use any variety, but sweet onions can add a milder flavor. Dice them finely to cook evenly with the beef.
Water: Helps distribute the taco seasoning evenly and creates a saucier filling. Adjust based on how thick or saucy you prefer the mixture.
Taco Seasoning: Use a store-bought mix for convenience or make your own for a personalized flavor. Adjust the amount for desired spice level.
Crescent Rolls: The star of the dish! Choose refrigerated dough for convenience. Be sure to overlap the edges well to hold the filling.
Shredded Cheddar or Mexican Blend Cheese: Melts beautifully and adds richness. Mix in pepper jack for a spicier kick or use your favorite cheese blend.
Toppings of Choice: Guacamole, sour cream, shredded lettuce, and salsa are classics. Feel free to get creative with jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or hot sauce for more flavor.
How to Make a Taco Crescent Ring
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Crumble the ground beef into the pan and add diced onions.
Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is no longer pink and the onions are softened. Drain any excess grease from the skillet, then add water and taco seasoning to the beef mixture.
Stir well and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
While the beef mixture simmers, preheat your oven to 375°F.
Prepare a large baking sheet or pizza pan by opening the cans of crescent rolls and separating the dough into triangles.
Arrange the triangles in a circle on the baking sheet with the wide ends overlapping and the pointed ends facing outwards, creating a sunburst or ring shape.
Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly around the overlapped portion of the dough circle.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef.
To form the ring, take each pointed end of the crescent dough and gently pull it over the filling, tucking the point under the dough at the center of the ring.
Repeat this process until all the points are folded over, encasing the filling in the crescent roll dough.
Bake the Taco Crescent Ring in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
Let the ring cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Arrange your favorite toppings—like guacamole, sour cream, salsa, or shredded lettuce—alongside the dish to let everyone customize their slices to taste.
Enjoy this fun, delicious twist on taco night!

Tips
Here are some tips for making the taco crescent ring:
Avoid Overstuffing: Use just enough filling to allow the dough to fully wrap around without tearing.
Arrange Dough Carefully: Overlap the crescent rolls properly to make sure the filling doesn’t leak.
Use a Pizza Cutter: For easy and clean slices, use a pizza cutter to divide the ring after baking.
Cool Slightly Before Serving: Let the ring rest for a few minutes after baking to help it set and make slicing easier.
What to Serve
Mexican Rice: Goes great with this.
Refried Beans: Another great side for this dish.
Cilantro Lime Rice: A twist on the Spanish rice with cilantro and lime instead.
Chips and Salsa or Guacamole: A crunchy side or starter that brings freshness and a variety of textures.
Mexican Street Corn Salad: Another fun side dish that pairs well.
Side Salad with Lime Vinaigrette: A light and crisp salad with a tangy dressing.
