Super Bowl Taco Dip

This Super Bowl Taco Dip is easy to make and perfect for sharing with friends and family.

It has layers of cream cheese, salsa, cheese, and lettuce, making it a tasty snack for any party.

The sour cream yard lines make it look like a football field, adding some fun to your game day spread.

Ingredients

Ingredients: cheese, green onions, taco seasoning, lettuce, salsa, cream cheese, and sour cream.

Cream cheese: Choose full-fat cream cheese for the best creamy texture. Make sure it's softened before mixing to avoid lumps.

Sour cream: We use full fat sour cream.

Taco seasoning: If you like your dip spicier, try using a spicier taco seasoning or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to kick it up a notch.

Salsa: Fresh salsa is a great option, but jarred salsa works just fine. Choose a medium or mild salsa, depending on your heat preference.

Green onions: Be sure to chop the green onions finely so they mix well with the other ingredients.

Shredded fiesta blend cheese: You can use any shredded cheese you like, but a fiesta blend gives the dip a nice variety of cheeses.

Shredded lettuce: For a crisp, fresh topping, use iceberg lettuce.

Sour cream (for piping): Make sure the sour cream is thick enough to hold the piping lines. If it’s too runny, you can use a bit of Greek yogurt to thicken it up.

How to Make

Preheat the oven to 350°F if you plan to serve the dip warm, but this recipe can also be served cold if preferred.

In a mixing bowl, stir together the cream cheese, half of the sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth and well combined.

Once mixed, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over a large rectangular serving platter.

Next, layer the salsa evenly over the cream cheese mixture, then sprinkle the chopped green onions on top.

Add a generous layer of shredded fiesta blend cheese, followed by the shredded lettuce.

To create the football field effect, leave the cheese on each end of the platter to form the end zones, and top the lettuce with the remaining sour cream.

Fill a piping bag with the remaining sour cream, snip the tip, and carefully draw yard lines across the lettuce to complete your dip.

Make it spicier by adding diced jalapeños or using a hot salsa.

If you're short on time, skip the sour cream yard lines or use a spoon to spread them quickly.

Add black olives or diced tomatoes as extra toppings if you want.

Prepare the dip a few hours ahead and store it in the fridge to let the flavors meld.
