Lil Smokies Pig in a Blanket

Lil Smokies Pig in a Blanket are a super easy and tasty snack that everyone will love.

With just two ingredients—mini sausages and crescent roll dough—you can make these in no time.

They’re perfect for parties, family gatherings, or even a quick after-school treat.

Ingredients

Ingredients: crescent roll sheets, toothpicks, and lil smokies.

Mini cocktail sausages (Lil’ Smokies): You can choose whatever flavor you prefer. My store was out of the regular beef ones, so I went with cheddar.

Crescent roll sheet: A crescent roll sheet works best because it’s already a full sheet of dough, which makes wrapping the sausages much easier. If you can’t find a sheet, regular crescent roll dough will work too—just pinch together the seams before cutting into strips.

Toothpicks: Make sure to get standard-sized toothpicks (not the extra-long ones). This is optional if you want to add it to the lil smokies after cooking for easy grabbing.

How to Make

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Open the crescent roll dough sheet and cut it into strips that are long enough to wrap around each mini sausage.

Take one strip of dough and wrap it around a mini sausage, overlapping slightly to secure it.

Repeat with the remaining sausages and dough strips.

Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they’re spaced out evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

To reheat, place them in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes or until warmed through.

F.A.Qs.

Can I use other types of dough, like biscuit dough?

Yes, biscuit dough can be used, though the texture will be denser than crescent rolls.

What if I don’t have enough dough to wrap all the sausages?

You can stretch the dough a little more or make smaller wraps, depending on the size of the sausages.
