Whether you’re making them for a holiday gathering or just for fun, these truffles are a sweet and festive way to celebrate Easter!

Ingredients

Ingredients: Oreos, yellow candy melts, cream cheese, blue candy melts, sprinkles, and pink candy melts.

Golden Oreos: We used golden Oreos, which is a delicious vanilla flavor for the cookie outside.

Cream Cheese: Make sure to pull out your cream cheese about 30-60 minutes before making to allow it to soften to room temperature.

Candy Melts: We used yellow, blue, and pink candy melts. You can use whatever colored candy melts you’d like.

Pastel Sprinkles: Use any pastel-colored sprinkles you like to decorate the truffles.

How to Make

Crush the vanilla Oreos in a food processor until they’re finely ground, then transfer them to a large bowl.

No Food Processor?

You can stick the Oreos in a Ziplock bag and use a rolling pin to crush the Oreos.

Add the softened cream cheese and mix using a hand mixer until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency.

Line a large baking sheet or tray with parchment paper, then roll the Oreo dough into small balls, about one Tablespoon each, and place them on the prepared sheet.

Once all the dough is rolled into balls, put the tray in the freezer for about an hour to firm them up.

While the truffles are chilling, melt the yellow, blue, and pink candy melts in separate microwave-safe bowls.

Heat them in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time to prevent burning.

Once melted, dip each Oreo ball into the candy coating of your choice, tapping the fork gently to remove any excess.

Place the dipped truffles back onto the parchment paper carefully.

Next, fill three small ziplock bags with the leftover melted candy melts and snip a tiny corner off each bag.

Drizzle the melted candy over the truffles in a fun pattern, mixing colors if you like.

Immediately after drizzling, sprinkle the pastel sprinkles on top so they stick.

Finally, refrigerate the truffles for about 5 minutes to set the candy coating before serving.

Leftovers/Storage

Store leftover truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5-6 days.

To freeze, place the truffles on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze for 1-2 hours, then transfer them to a sealed bag or container.

To reheat, let them thaw at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving.

F.A.Q.

What do I do if the truffles have fingerprints after dipping?

Use the back of a spoon to gently smooth out the top or roll the truffles in your hands to remove visible fingerprints before the candy hardens.

Why is my candy melt coating uneven or patchy?

The candy might not be fully melted or may have cooled down too much. Try reheating it for a few seconds and re-dipping the truffles to get an even coating.
