This cold crab dip is the perfect party dip and wonderful to add in rolls for a crab roll.

If you love crab meat, this easy crab dip recipe will be right down your alley!

It's a cold crab dip that is east coast inspired.

This delicious crab dip is the perfect party appetizer or just when you have a craving. Or, use this cold crab dip recipe sandwiched between sourdough bread for a delicious crab sandwich.

This is such an easy crab dip recipe. You use canned crab meat (or sub that out for fresh crab meat if you prefer), cream cheese, mayonnaise and a few seasoning. Just mix all these ingredients together and then stick in the fridge and it's all ready.

This crab dip is also better the next day after its' had some time for the flavors to meld.

    Favorite Dipping Food

Crab dip surrounded by cucumbers and baguette slices.

We have several things we love to dip into this crab dip. Here are some of our favorite:

    • tortilla chips
    • cucumbers
    • buttery crackers
    • baguette slices
    • cherry tomatoes

    Leftovers

If you have leftovers, move the crab dip to an air tight container. You can store leftover crab dip in your fridge for 5-7 days in an airtight container.

You'll find the flavor gets better after being in the fridge for a day or two.

    Crab Meat

You might be wondering what type of crab meat you need to use in this crab dip. I have "canned crab" as the ingredient. Use what you can find. So, you can use lump crab meat, jumbo lump crab meat, or imitation crab meat.

If you have access to it, you can even use fresh lump crab meat.

Each one will have a slightly different crab flavor, but they will all be very similar.

    Alternatives

If you want to make this crab dip with a little kick, mix in a couple drops of hot sauce.
