Curry powder is a seasoning that is used in a lot of Indian cuisine. It is a great spice blend for recipes such as chicken tikka masala, curry sauce, and butter chicken. And if you love Indian recipes, you'll want to have the perfect curry powder in your cabinet.

You can buy curry powder from the store, but this is such an easy homemade curry powder recipe that it's just as easy to make it as needed. You can also make up a bit larger batch and keep your homemade blend in the pantry.

Curry Seasoning

Curry powder is a blend of spices to get that curry flavor we all love. The exact ingredients vary depending on the region and the cook, but typically curry powders include, turmeric, cumin, coriander, paprika, and ginger powder.

How to Use Curry Powder

When using curry powder, it's important to remember that a little can go a long way. Just add the amount your recipe calls for.

If you don't have a specific amount you are wanting to add to your recipe, it's better to start with a small amount and add more after tasting. You do want to be aware though, that curry powder tends to intensify in taste after cooking it.
