You'll love being able to prepare this copycat recipe for Starbucks medicine ball at home. It is great to drink when feeling under the weather or even just during flu season.

I don't know about you, but it seems like everybody is sick right now. Both from the big bad C as well as the normal cold and flu.

When I'm feeling under the weather, the last thing I want to do is get into my car and drive to the local Starbucks, or anywhere for that matter. Even if that somewhere has something that has the potential to make me feel better.

I also don't want to risk getting anyone else sick, including the Starbucks baristas. So staying home is where I want to be.

That's why this copycat Starbucks medicine ball tea is so wonderful to have on hand. You don't have to leave your house for all the ingredients if you've already stocked up on the ingredients you need.

What is a Starbucks Medicine Ball Tea?

It's a popular herbal tea at Starbucks that many like to get when they are feeling under the weather or have a sore throat. It's also known as the cold buster. The medicine ball at Starbucks has steamed lemonade, hot water, a tea bag of Jade Citrus Mint green tea, a tea bag of Peach Tranquility tea, and honey.

How do you order a medicine ball at Starbucks?

The medicine ball used to be a secret menu item. It's become such a popular drink, it is now on the regular menu and goes by the name of Honey Citrus Mint Tea. If you order the medicine ball drink at your local Starbucks, the Starbucks employee should know what to make if you ask for it by medicine ball. If you want to order from the Starbucks app, it is on there as well under Honey Citrus Mint Tea and you can find it located under the hot teas section.

    What is in the teas?

You might be wondering what exactly is in jade mint tea or peach tranquility tea, the two teas used to make a medicine ball tea. Jade mint tea consists of green tea, spearmint, lemon verbena, and lemongrass The peach tranquility tea has apple, candied pineapple, rose hips, pieces of peaches, chamomile flowers, lemon verbena and a honey blend.

This tea isn't an exact copy of Starbucks, but it's pretty darn close.

If you want this to be closer to the Starbucks version, you can buy the Jade mint tea and the peach tranquility tea from Starbucks. The tea is now sold in individual teabags.

By using mint tea and peach tea, you can buy a box of tea bags at once, which will end up being a lot cheaper. Plus, it's easier to keep a box of tea bags on hand vs just one or two bought individually. And you can find these varieties of tea in most grocery stores.
