Christmas Pancakes
These Christmas pancakes are the perfect special breakfast on Christmas morning. Kids love them.

If you are looking for a special breakfast for Christmas morning, try these Christmas pancakes. You can make a Christmas tree, snowman, or stocking shape.
Either the pancakes can be decorated as you are making them, or put some different options for toppings to use as decorations on the table and let your kiddos decorate to their heart's content before they eat.
Use the pancake recipe below to make this special breakfast. It uses simple ingredients and you can use a squeeze bottle and use the pancake batter to make shapes such as a Christmas tree, snowman, or stocking.
Favorite Toppings
Not only can you use mini M&M's, like I have in the recipe, but you can use other toppings to create fun decorations on your pancakes.
- chocolate chips
- whipped cream
- maple syrup
- fresh fruit
Ingredients
- all-purpose flour
- baking powder
- granulated sugar
- whole milk
- eggs
- melted butter
- vanilla extract
- red and green food gel
- mini M&M’s
How to Make
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and sugar.
Step 2: Add the eggs and melted butter and mix. Slowing whisk in the milk until batter forms.
Step 3: Divide the batter into three and mix one with a teaspoon of red gel and another with a teaspoon of green gel. Add more gel for bright colors.
Step 4: In a medium skillet, set the heat to low medium and spray lightly with oil.
Tip: I like to place the batter in a food squeeze bottle for more accurate drawings.
Step 5: Once the pan is hot draw a Christmas tree or snowman or stocking with batter.
Decorate the pancakes by topping the tree with m&m to make it a fun-lit tree or give the snowmen eyes.
