Christmas Cookie Cake

This is great for the candy lovers as it's full of chocolate chips and M&M's.

It's easy to switch this up and make this cookie cake any time of the year, just change out the Christmas colored M&M's for regular ones and the Christmas sprinkles to whatever your favorite colors are.

Ingredients

Ingredients: Christmas sprinkles, M&Ms, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, flour, chocolate chips, milk, food coloring gel, butter, eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.

Unsalted butter: Make sure to pull this out of the fridge about 30-60 minutes before making to allow the butter to come to room temperature. Used in both the cookie and the frosting.

Brown sugar: Make sure to pack it tightly when measuring.

Granulated sugar: Works great with the brown sugar to get the perfect sweetness.

Eggs: Use large eggs and make sure to pull them out of the fridge at the same time as the butter to allow them to come to room temperature.

Vanilla extract: If possible use vanilla extract, you can use imitation vanilla in a pinch. Used in both the cookie and the frosting.

All-purpose flour: Measure it by spooning the flour into the cup and leveling it off to avoid using too much.

Salt

Baking soda

Semi-sweet chocolate chips: You can swap them for milk chocolate chocolate chips if you prefer.

Red and green M&Ms: You can mix in any color of M&Ms you like, but the red and green ones are perfect for the holidays!

Powdered sugar: Sift it if you want to avoid any lumps in the frosting.

Milk: Just a tablespoon of milk helps make the frosting smooth and easy to pipe.

Green gel food coloring: A little goes a long way, so start with a tiny amount and add more if needed.

Christmas sprinkles: Choose any kind you likeโ€”red, green, or multicolored.

Tips & Tricks

Use room temperature butter and eggs: This helps the dough mix more evenly and creates a smoother texture.

Donโ€™t overmix the dough: Once you add the dry ingredients, mix just until combined to avoid a tough cookie cake.

Use a pizza cutter: For clean, easy slices, cut the cooled cookie cake with a pizza cutter instead of a knife.
