    They are sweet, fluffy and full of flavor. Plus, they're really easy to make - perfect for a quick breakfast on the go.

    Not only are these cherry danish muffins a delicious breakfast, they also are a yummy brunch or even dessert idea.

    Danish Muffins

    I LOVE not only how delicious they are, but also how incredibly easy they are to whip up. Making these the perfect treat to make when you are tight on time.

    You just use crescent roll dough and will it with cream cheese and cherries to make these incredible muffins.

    Not only adults, but kids love them too.

    Tips for Making Danish Muffins

    • Use any leftover pie filling from making this recipe for topping ice cream.
    • Make sure your cream cheese is room temperature so it gets nice and smooth.
    • You can change out the pie filling for a different flavor if you prefer. So you can make apple Danish muffins or lemon Danish muffins, etc by changing the pie filling.

    Leftovers/Storage

    These are really good and the best eaten the same day you make them. If you end up with leftovers, store them in the fridge, but make sure to eat them within a day.

    Ingredients

    Cherry Danish ingredients.

    crescent rolls: you can find these in the refrigerator section of your grocery store. Normally they are with the cans of biscuits.

    cream cheese: make sure to pull the cream cheese out of the fridge ahead of time to allow it to come to room temperature. 30-60 minutes ahead of time is a good amount.

    vanilla extract

    powdered sugar

    cherry pie filling: if you prefer a different flavor of Danish muffins, you can swap this out for another one.

    Glaze Ingredients:

    powdered sugar

    vanilla extract

    milk

    How to Make Danish Muffins

    Prepare: Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.

    Dough: Open and unroll crescent roll dough. Separate dough into two rectangles. Pinch the seams together.

    Filling: In a medium bowl, stir cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together.

    Make Danish Muffins: Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over each dough sheet. Add the cherry pie filling and spread it evenly over the cream cheese mixture on rectangles of crescent dough.

    Carefully and gently roll up crescent dough sheets, one at a time. Start at the short end. Cut each roll into four equal pieces.

    Add each slice into the muffin cups of your prepared pan.

    Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.

    Cool: After removing from the oven, let muffins cool in the pan until they're safe to touch, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.

    Glaze: Prepare the glaze while the muffins cool. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the top of the muffins before serving.

    • 8 ounce crescent rolls 1 package
    • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ¼ cup powdered sugar
    • 1 can cherry pie filling

    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 tablespoon milk
