Ingredients

Ingredients: Worcestershire sauce, cheddar cheese, tomato, mustard, ketchup, pickles, lettuce, French fries, garlic, pepper, salt, ground beef, mozzarella cheese, and onions.

Ground beef: Make sure to drain any excess fat after browning.

Onion: A small yellow onion adds great flavor.

Garlic: Freshly minced garlic gives the best taste.

Salt & Pepper: Just a little brings out the flavor in the beef—adjust to taste.

Yellow mustard: This gives the dish a classic cheeseburger flavor.

Ketchup: Adds sweetness and tang.

Worcestershire sauce: A small amount adds rich, savory depth.

Shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese: Use both cheddar and mozzarella cheese in here.

Frozen French fries: Crinkle-cut or shoestring both bake up nicely; just make sure to spread them in a single layer for the crispiest top.

Optional toppings (pickles, chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce): These make it feel even more like a real cheeseburger—add them just before serving.

Tips, Tricks & Swaps

Use pre-diced onion and jarred minced garlic to save prep time.

Swap in ground turkey or chicken if you prefer.

Add cooked bacon bits to the beef mixture if you want.

Use seasoned fries or waffle fries.

If you’re short on cheddar or mozzarella, use any shredded cheese blend you have on hand.

Bake your fries on a sheet pan in a single layer in the oven while you’re cooking the meat for crispier fries.

Make it ahead by assembling the casserole, covering, and refrigerating for up to a day before baking.

Serve with ketchup, mustard, or burger sauce on the side for dipping.
