How to Reheat Chicken Fried Steak?

It is super simple to reheat leftover chicken fried steak using your air fryer. Just place it in the air fryer basket and air fry for about 5 to 7 minutes at 400° F.

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp celery salt

How to Make Chicken Fried Steak in an Air Fryer

Step 1:  In a shallow dish beat the two eggs and set aside. In a second dish stir the seasonings into the flour.

Step 2: Dredge the steaks in the flour, then the egg and then back in the flour to fully bread them.

Step 3:  Spray air fryer basket with oil. Place the steaks into the air fryer basket and spray the steaks with oil. Cook on 390°F for 11 minutes. Flip and cook for 3 more minutes.

While the steaks are cooking, make the gravy.

How to Make Gravy for Chicken Fried Steak

Gravy Ingredients

  • ½ cup of milk
  • ½ cup of butter
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

You'll love this gravy poured over your chicken fried steak.

Step 1:  While the steaks are cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add in the milk, salt and pepper. Whisk in a tablespoon of flour at a time until desired thickness of gravy is achieved. I used 3 tablespoons.

Step 2: Pull the steaks out of the air fryer basket and drizzle as much gravy as you want on top.
