Air Fryer Cheese Curds

Cheese curds or as we used to call them "squeeky cheese" are something that are so delicious! They are fresh nuggets of cheese and growing up in the Pacific NW, were a must get when we'd visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

These air fryer cheese curds are breaded and then air fried making them a great appetizer or fun snack.

Ingredients

Ingredients: Cheese curds, milk, flour, breadcrumbs, cooking spray, and eggs.

All-purpose flour: This is the base for breading the cheese curds.

Eggs: Eggs help bind the breadcrumbs to the cheese curds.

Panko bread crumbs: These crumbs are key to getting a crunchy coating.

Milk: Milk adds a bit of moisture to the egg mixture, making the breading stick better.

Frozen cheese curds: Frozen cheese curds work best because they stay firm while cooking and don’t melt too quickly.

Cooking spray: A light spritz of oil helps the curds become golden and crispy.

How to Make

Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.

In a small bowl, mix together the eggs and milk.

Milk and egg in the bowl.

In a separate dish, pour the flour, and in another, place the panko bread crumbs.

Dredge each frozen cheese curd in the flour, making sure it's fully coated.

Then dip it in the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, and coat it in the panko bread crumbs, pressing lightly to ensure they stick well.
